Last week Myrrh, a lvl 75 WHM in my LS had asked me to solo Leviathan for him but because of the commitments we had over the weekend, we weren't able to get it done. So on Monday night, when I logged in I asked if he was free and sure enough he said he'd be available in about 40 minutes. This was perfect, because I needed to head over to Norg to go get my turning fork.
When I mentioned Leviathan in LS, two members offered to come help so Carste who was going to be our BLM gave Alianne and myself a teleport-yhoat on his WHM and then headed back to San d'Oria to OP warp and meet up with us. Meanwhile, Myrrh finished up a few things and then headed to Temple of Uggalepih on his WHM.
After me and Alianne got our turning forks, we met up with Carste and Myrrh... but of course me being me, got lost in that stupid maze of a jungle, Yuhtunga. I really have no clue why SE made the map of that place the most confusing ever, you can't tell which path leads where and the only way to know is to constantly check your position on the map... which of course, I rarely do which is probably the reason I always get lost. Well not always, because I do have paths memorized to get to Norg and the Temple of Uggalepih, I just don't know how to do them in reverse >_<. So anyways, we entered the BCNM and buffed up. The plan was that I would solo the avatar until about 50% on my RDM/NIN because had I gone in as PLD, I would of required too much healing. But as soon as I started fighting, I could tell that the other party members were getting angsty and wanted to start nuking and what not, so as soon as Leviathan let off his 2hr Alianne and Carste ripped off theirs... Myrrh let out a Banish III (I think o.O) and just as I was about to hit my chainspell, the battle was over! ; ;
Damn that Carste.... he just HAAAAD to show off his Thunder Potency which he capped with merits!! Couldn't let me solo Levi huh??!!! Well, there will always be next time and at least we won so I couldn't complain ^^
After that, I headed down to Bostinaux Oubliette where me and Tim waited for some help to get his Asuran Fists NM killed, killing some leeches and lvling my NPC until everyone showed up. Xean came as MNK, Chpal came as his RDM and Myrrh.... well.... he came as WHM sporting his "Nipple Hat". SE being the pervs that they are, made an event hat which is suppose to increase chocobo digging results... only instead of making it look like an egg (its for the easter event) it looks like a nipple. I don't think I want to know what goes through the minds of the designers for SE x_x
Anyways, when we were all set Tim popped the NM and at about 40% I told Tim and Xean to 2hr because them being mnks, they would really annhilate the skeleton NM.... but I guess I kinda forgot that even after I let out my invincible, I still wouldn't be able to regain hate from 2 mnks and unfortunately their scorpion harnesses aren't as durable as my shiny Adaman body... and Xean almost got himself killed when his HP went down to 110/1700+. Thankfully Myrrh was on top of healing and tossed out a Cure V in time and all was good and Tim got his new weaponskill. Now all we need to do is get him his Dune Boots and Destroyers!
For the rest of the night, me and Xean decided to skillup down in the tunnels. He wanted to cap his markmanship for his THF which is sitting at lvl 56, and I wanted to lvl up my Greatsword so I wouldn't have to use it in parties on my DRK which is now 34. We managed to get a few good levels but then eventually it got late and we headed to bed.
Yesterday I decided to craft up a storm of colored eggs hoping to make myself a little profit during the easter event. I think I had about 7 x 12 synths in total, and managed to get just about 24 HQ synths which gave me party eggs. It took me about an hour and a half to get through all the crafting because I had to send all the items to my mule so sell on her overnight, but hopefully in the end it'll be worth it if I can make some gil. I recently bought myself a Scorpion Harness for pretty cheap as I figure with Xean getting his NIN higher, when we want to go duo things i'll need one of my own... so of course that kinda left me pennyless and I badly need to farm and craft to make some $$$
After I was done crafting, I had about 2hrs before dynamis so me and Xean headed down to Sea Serpent Grotto to skillup again, this time on Sahagin. At first he was getting a few skillups, but after about 15 minutes of killing they were increasingly uncommon, so we headed back to Bostinaux Oubliette and decided to skillup on Mousse and Werewolf Bats. In the end, we both managed to get our skill to 160 before I had to head out to get ready for Dynamis.
And this time around, our Dynamis run went really great. Archmage wasn't able to login because the modem for his PS2 was fried, so he had Lokelani play as him to go get an hourglass and then traded it to me, as I would be taking on Archmage's duties for the night.
Because I would be lotting, I wasn't going to be able to main tank so we gave Kiersten my duties, and he performed really well throughout the whole run. We didn't have any wipes at all, and the only thing that kept us from having extra time to farm for AF was the fact that our sac pulls didn't quite go so well. But hopefully with more practice, our THFs will get those perfected in no time.
We did end up getting the win though, so that was a great accomplishment for our LS. I was really happy because two friends from TBH, Exodusamphi and Timwakefield are now in my dynamis LS and they got to get a win pretty quick. Both of them seem to have enjoyed the run, and during the mini breaks we had waiting for our sac pullers to be raised I hung out with them and poked fun at Tim's subligar again.
All in all, it was a good night and was nice to be able to relax a little more and not main tank for once, it was a change of pace. I love my job main tanking, but having a break I think really did me some good, as it allowed me to interact a bit more with the LS where as when i'm tanking, its really hard to focus on the chat going on >_<>

I'v always been intrested in the ideas on those Avatars. Are they sealed inside the Protocrystals? o.o; Or do the Protocrystals serve as a portal to the area? :3
The protocrystals take you to the avatars, but they're also sealed away in crystals... so its possible they're also sealed in the protocrystals and I just haven't paid enough attention to the details in the cs when you do the fight <_<;;
Zer...I cannot get over how great you graphics look...
I am ever jealous.
