Breaking Records!

I don't think I could of asked for a better way to end the year with my Dynamis shell, RidersOfRohans, than the run we had this week. We managed to break our record in AF drops, obtaining a total of 21 AF in Dynamis Bastok. On top of that, we obtained 10 Wootz Ores (valued at 130k) which will end up going into our shell's "Month End Bonus" which is distributed to members that are present for the entire run. AND! We also had 1 - 100 Byne Bill drop too! We were very very close to having cleared the entire zone, but sadly we ran out of time.

I'm pretty sure that one of the main reasons we had so much AF drop that night, is because of this guy here:

Carste has been with us since the very beginning, back when we were called SpiftasticAdventures. He was the first (and so far only) THF to finally get his TH4 with us, and as of this recent Bastok run, he is finally 5/5 on his THF!! Sadly this week was his last run with us (officially) because RL work kinda needs him to be focused and awake the next day which would be near impossible with him doing Dynamis with us until 3-4am in the morning his time. But it's all good, because we get to steal him in the future whenever he's on vacation or has time off, for the occasional run :)

On top of all the goodness of this last dynamis run, I also picked myself up my SMN relic hands. Looking at the stats, they look very nice. It's actually kinda funny because when they dropped, I was crossing my fingers that no high lvl summoners would still need them because already no one had them set as their main lot. I was hoping that as soon as they went into "free lot for all" mode, that i'd manage to win them seeing as SMN is my next job to get to 75. But then Carste reminded me that I was technically a "higher lvl SMN" because i'd recently hit lvl 52, which meant that I had priority on lotting before they'd go into "free lot for all" mode... which meant, that I got dibs!

So now I think its time I list the shiny pieces of relic i've obtained over the last 2 years --- thanks to the members of RidersOfRohan!

I'm pretty eager about the coming year with my dynamis shell. One of our main pullers is expected to return, and hopefully we'll make the attempt to go after ShadowLord which has been a long awaited goal of many of the members. And hopefully we'll see many many more of our members complete their relic sets. We've had more than a handful complete their sets wtih us, and so many more are very close.

So while i've been taking a break from Limbus as well as my Nyzul static (which was temporarily turned into an xp static to get Drimergirl and Soulstar to lvl 75) I have been trying to get more of my assaults finished so that maybe one day I can have that little title called "Captain". I joined a temporary static with Carste, Zyn and Arezael and along the way we've had a couple of people fill in when needed. I've managed to complete 6 more assaults with them so far, 3 of which are FL rank.

And let me say, the FL missions are F U N! These are definitely the types of fights that I enjoy doing in the game, and wish that SE would make a little easier to access. The fights are always against one mob (at least so far) and generally you want to have a party of 6 members. You have 30 minutes to take down the NM in order to get the win.

The first fight I had was against "Hydra". I got to go WHM for this, and quite enjoyed it. (OMG, I enjoyed WHM? Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaat?!) The fight was pretty easy and straight forward.


The second fight, was a pain. It was against "Cerberus" and my gawd did this puppy ever have a stick up his arse. Our first attempt actually ended in failure, with us getting him down to about 3% (*shakes fist*). Lucky for us, a beseiged was happening so we ran in and refreshed our 2hrs and tried again. The second attempt went much better, which I think is because our stunner Arezael was on top of things and I didn't really notice as much mp-sponging from all of us on DDs as the previous attempt. The only downside is that I ended up taking hate and somehow got one shotted which forced me to watch the rest of the fight while I was weakened. Though at the last minute I ran in with about 300hp and WS'ed the death shot, hehehe.


And the third fight, was against Count Dracula. Yep. Great Originality SE!! You'd think they could of come up with a slightly better name? LOL. Anyways, this fight was also pretty easy. I was asked to come PLD/NIN which I have almost zero experience with aside from doing lolmelee in parties. I had to kite the guy around some pillars for about 20 minutes while we had some BLMs nuking him down. Carste usually ended up taking hate, but I managed to get it back for the most part. I probably would of done better if the WHM wasn't keeping my HP full, because without my cure IV, I was a sad PLD ; ;


As far as LS events go, there hasn't been a whole lot happening which in a way is nice. I enjoy helping out members but having the week to login and just ponder what i'd like to do has been a nice change of pace. I've been able to get my crafting up - Leathercraft finally hit 60 and now i'm working on Bonecraft which is now sitting at 18. I also went and got myself a couple more merits (lol, do I ever stop?) and managed to get more xp buffer on my jobs which I was desperately needing.

Oh, one event I did recently help with was Zeo's COR AF3 fight. That was pretty fun, we went out on a ship and fought two NPCs. I did my usual RDM enfeeble > haste > cure routine, so that put me in my happy place. I love playing RDM now, especially when there's a lot that I am responsible for. I guess I like pushing myself as much as I can, and the more there is to do, the more enjoyable the job becomes.


And lastly, i've pulled my DRG out.

I have quite a few pieces of the gear i'll need to make it keep up with merit melee jobs at 75, so I figured i'd work on it. It's only at 24, but it'll get there eventually :)
